A special Lok Adalt was held Initiated by Tripura State Legal Services Authority at District and Sub-Divisional Court premises on Sunday.
This Lok Adalat is being held in a total of 33 benches.
A total of 22 thousand 889 cases were taken up for settlement. Among them 11 thousand 645 cases under MV Act, 2023 cases under Tripura Gambling Act, 686 cases under Tripura Excise Act, 9 cases under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 8087 cases under Tripura Police Act, 01 cases under Indian Electricity Act, Cruelty to Animals 6 cases under the Act, 83 cases related to check bounce (NI Act), 34 cases related to matrimonial disputes and 315 cases under solvable criminal sections were taken up for disposal.
Sabyasachi Datta Purkayastha, Member Secretary of Tripura State Law Service Authority gave details in this regard.
