Churaibari police in Dharmanagar Subdivision under North Tripura District seized a lorry loaded with marijuana on Saturday morning.
The driver of the lorry is also arrested by the police. The driver identified as Nayan Rupini (24). He is a resident of Sinaikami Sadhupara of Champaknagar, under Jirania subdivision.
Police seized the lorry (HR55S-2449) at the Naka Point in front of Churaibari Police Station on Saturday morning which was going from Agartala to Shillong.
Total 387 kg of marijuana was recovered in 38 packets. Police said that the value of the sized Ganja is about forty lakhs.
