Truck Loaded With Ganja From Tripura Detained In Assam

A bamboo carrying lorry going to Uttar Pradesh from Agartala was detained with huge quantity of dry cannabis after entering Assam by managing the Naka Points of Tripura police with various tactics. 

Assam Police arrested the driver and started investigation. It is known that ganja worth Rs one and a half million was seized in Bazarichara in Churaibari on Sunday morning. The driver was arrested. 

In this regard, Churaibari Watch Post Police informed that when a 10-wheeler bamboo lorry reached Churaibari in Assam through the Tripura border , the police on duty searched the vehicle as usual. 

One thousand 420 kg of dry ganja was recovered from under the bamboo.

The price of which is about Rs one and a half crore . The driver of the car has been arrested in this incident. His name is Deepak Kumar. 

During the preliminary investigation by the police, the arrested driver said that he collected the ganja from Shalbagan area of ​​Agartala and take it to Berali in Uttar Pradesh in exchange of huge amount of money. 

The arrested person is currently being detained at the Bajarichha police station and is being interrogated. 

Police said he will be produced in the court on Monday. Rumors have been created as to how the lorry driver crossed the state border through Naka Point despite the fact that most of the police stations are located along the national highway. 

From Agartala to Churaibari, how could the car not be detained even after having so many naka points, question rising on this fact.
