TTAADC Session Begins: Budget Of Rs 1148 Cr For 2023-24 FY Tabled

On Friday ADC budget for the financial year 2023-24 with an allocation of Rs. 1148 crore, 34 lakh, 85 thousand was presented on the floor of the House for discussion by Chief Executive Member Purna Chandra Jamatia.

The budget outlay provides for allocation of Rs. 211.83 lakh for Market License and Rs. 604.00 lakh for other Revenue Expenditures, Rs. 478.17 lakh for Miscellaneous heads, Rs. 61017.75 lakh for Planning (Revenue), Rs. 22286.25 lakh for Share of Tax (Revenue), Rs.19189,10 lakh for Transfer heads, Rs. 9297.75 lakh for the 15th 15th Finance lakh for Exclusive Area Grant.

While presenting the budget Purno Chandra Jamatia the CEM clarified that a total of 70 key areas have been identified for the development of ADC in the budget provisions.

It includes-Education, Health, Drinking water, construction of rural roads, Irrigation for the farmers, Distribution of 200 units of Auto rickshaws among the unemnployed under SIKLA HAM scheme.

The Budget also has provision for distribution of 824 units of musical instruments, economic grants for fairs and festivals, sports promotion, development of fisheries and other important areas.

The Special Session of ADC also conducted Condolence by observing silence for one minute in the memory of the departed souls of the eminent personalities lost when the session was off.

Heartfelt condolences were conveyed to the members of the bereaved families. The lost
personalities included- NC Debbarma, Drau Kumar Reang, Rahindra Debbarma and others.
