Six people were injured in twin blasts in Narwal area adjacent to Jammu railway station. The condition of one of them is said to be critical.
At present, the police is trying to find out how the blasts took place.
According to the police, there are junk shops nearby where the blasts took place. Prima facie, these blasts seem to have happened due to some explosive material in the junk.
Police say that the matter is being investigated. The reason for the blast has not yet been ascertained for sure.
The police have cordoned off the spot and are investigating. The injured have been taken to the hospital. It is being told that blasts have been done by planting IEDs in old vehicles.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the blasts and announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the injured.
