Tripura boys Dhiman Chakma and Sumit Paul has made into the list of selected candidates who cracked the UPSC exam 2020, declared here on Friday.
Dhiman Chakma who ranked 482 improving his rank from the previous years exam where he ranked 721. He is presently serving as IFS officer in Odisha cadre. Sumit Paul, who hails from Agartala has secured 530 rank in the UPSC Civil Service examination 2020.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has congratulated them for their success. The Civil Services Exam (CSE), 2020, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Altogether 761 candidates were selected by the UPSC for various civil services this time.
The final result of the Civil Services exam 2020 has been declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its website, upsc.gov.in. The Commission has released the list of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to various central services in addition to IAS, IPS and IFS.
Candidates have been selected on the basis of the main written exam held from January 8 to January 17 and the interview held from August 2 to September 22. Prior to the main written exam, a preliminary test was held in October, 2020. Candidates who had qualified the preliminary test were shortlisted for the main exam.
A total of 2,046 candidates were shortlisted for the interview. In the declared results, Shubham Kumar has secured AIR 1, followed by Jagarati Awasthi at AIR 2 and Ankita Jain at the third position.
Kumar has graduated in B Tech (Civil Engineering) from IIT Bombay, as per news agency ANI. Jagrati Awasthi has graduated in B Tech (Electrical Engineering) from MANIT Bhopal.
