Police arrested two drug paddlers with a large quantity of brown sugar and illegal cash from Agartala, capital of Tripura.
On Wednesday, based on a tip-off, the police of East Agartala Police Station reported that drug paraphernalia was being smuggled in a vehicle.
Accordingly, the police of East Agartala Police Station Informed the matter to the police of Maharajganja bazar outpost.
Police went to Das para of Sadhutilla after getting the information. The police stopped a car there.
But when they saw policemen two persons in the car tried to run away. But they were also arrested by the police.
The two arrested youths are Piyush Das, of Sadhutila and Prasenjit Dey, from Kata Shaola Majumdar Para Agartala.
After searching the car, the police seized 22 grams of heroin, 22,500 rupees in cash and two mobile phones.
450 empty small boxes were also seized. Sadar SDPO said that they used to sell drugs in different parts of the city for a long time.
On this day they were handed over to the court asking for police remand. It is believed that the police will be able to nab the rest of the accused involved with them.
