Unemployed ‘10323’ Teachers Holds ‘Good Governance Rally’ In Agartala. Urged Govt To Take Landmark Decision In Assembly Session

10,323 sacked teachers organized “Sushan Rally” (Good Governance rally) in the capital Agartala on Thursday demanding a permanent solution.

On this day, the rally started from Orient Chowmuhani of the capital. The rally traveled various streets of Agartala.

At the forefront of the rally there were the leaders of the sacked teachers Pradeep Banik, Arindam Sharma.

In an interview, Pradeep Banik said that due to the mistakes of some officials and legal advisers of the education department and law department during the previous government, a tainted chapter has been written on the education map of the state. As a result of this, 10,323 teachers and their family members who were dismissed are still on the streets facing the threat of life. Those who were supposed to be in the classroom with pens and chalk in hand, are now on the streets.

“On the occasion of Prime Minister’s birthday, a campaign good governance is underway across the country. It is not possible to reach good governance in every household except 10,323 sacked teachers who are out of a job. Therefore, our demanded is to save 10,323 teachers by taking a landmark decision in the assembly session” said Banik.

They also demanded that the first day of the session of the Legislative Assembly should decide to send them to school.
