Passenger rail restarts in tripura from monday after a long gap due to covid19 pandemic. This is the first time in the country during covid pandemic that RAILWAY decides to restart passenger train with the green signal of tripura government as center declared unlock 5.0. Till this every thing is ok. But the problem is that the scheduled timing of the DEMU and the fare are unscientific, according to the passengers. There is no scheduled train from agartala to dharmanagar in the first half of the day. Same, there is no train from dharmanagar to agartala in the second half of the day. Scheduled time for agartala sabroom DEMU is 5.30 AM which is also unscientific in covid19 infection. Fare also become a matter of resentment as minimum fare for less than 50 km is Rs 30 for a single travel. Passengers have to pay same fare while return back. Highest fare would be Rs 70, in Agartala Dharmanagar route. All this things finalized by Tripura transport department authority also. One passenger namely souvik nath on monday expresses resentment and said that train schedule and fare should belongs to the passengers interest.
