Pulkit Arya, son of BJP leader Vinod Arya in Uttarakhand, is accused of killing a young woman working in his resort.
There is a lot of anger among the people regarding this matter, after which angry people set fire to Pulkit Arya’s resort.
The fire was started in a part of the resort, which was later doused. Police have arrested three people including the accused Pulkit.
Apart from this, on the orders of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a bulldozer has also been run at his resort.
Meanwhile, Ankit Arya, brother of Pulkit Arya, accused in the murder case, has been removed from the post of Deputy Chairman of Uttarakhand Other Backward Commission.
Apart from this, BJP has expelled his father Vinod Arya and brother Ankit Arya from the party.
Ankit Arya is a BJP leader. Party’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan told that this action has been taken on the instructions of state president Mahendra Bhatt.
Angry people also vandalized the vehicle of local BJP MLA Renu Bisht. The police have rescued the MLA.
The body of the girl, who worked as a receptionist in the resort, was recovered from the Chila canal on Saturday morning.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted, ‘My heart is deeply pained by this heartbreaking incident. In order to get the harshest punishment to the culprits, a SIT has been formed under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General of Police P. Renuka Devi ji and ordered an in-depth investigation of this serious matter.
Pulkit Arya, the main accused in this case, is the owner of the resort where the victim used to work.
Pulkit is the son of BJP leader Vinod Arya from Haridwar. Vinod Arya has been the President of Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board. The BJP leader’s son had illegally constructed this resort in Yamkeshwar block of Pauri district which was demolished on Friday night.
CM Dhami said on Saturday, ‘Action has also been taken by the bulldozers on the illegally built resort of the accused late last night. It is our resolve that the culprits of this heinous crime will not be spared.
Pulkit Arya, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta were arrested on Friday after admitting to the crime of killing the girl and dumping the body in the Chila canal.
Pauri ASP Shekhar Chandra Suyal had told on Friday that initially the accused tried to mislead the police, but after rigorous interrogation, they accepted the crime.
Before the girl’s body was found, her parents had lodged a complaint that she has been missing since Monday.
