Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited the head office of Electricity Control at 79 Tila Agartala to check that there is no problem with electricity during Sharadiya Durga Puja festival.
He talked to the officials and examined all the issues. After talking to the officials , he said that he had already sat down and talked to the SP, DM. All the clubs have been instructed to keep distance from any pandal around power lines to avoid accidents.
The minister said that notices have been given to all the clubs whose pandals have not obeyed this order.
Apart from this, regarding the issue of frequent power outages, the minister said that various clubs and puja organizers are giving wrong information about their electricity needs. As a result, the load on the electricity increases and causes problems.
The minister said that there is no shortage of electricity in the state, but concealing the exact demand creates this problem.
