Villagers of Debendra Karbari Para in East Chawmanu blocked the main road from Chawmanu to Manu in Longtraivally sub-division under North Tripura District on Tuesday morning demanding drinking water and road renovation.
Allegedly, the supply of drinking water in East Chawmanu Debendra Karbari para has been stopped for a long time.
As a result, the villagers are facing various problems on a daily basis. Although they informed officials about this issue several times, they have not paid any attention in this regard.
Moreover, the roads in East Chawmanu Debendra Karbari Para is in very bad condition. Due to the bad condition of the roads, there is no provision of ambulance to go to the hospital even when critical patents fight with death. Students stay at home in the slightest rain due to bad road condition.
Finally, on Tuesday morning they hoĺld the road blockade. On getting the information , the high-ranking officers of the administration rushed to the spot.
They spoke to the blockaders and assured that the problem would be solved very soon.
Based on that assurance, they withdrew the road blockade for now..
