Local residents holds the blockade of Kumarghat main road in East Kaulikura Ward No. 1 area of Kailashahar demanding drinking water.
Residents complain that they have been suffering from the problem of drinking water for a long time.
“Water supply from DWS office is not enough. Moreover rwater is not being supplied from the DWS office in the area for five days. Due to this, we the residents of the area are in extreme trouble” they complaints.
So they were forced to participate in the Kumarghat-Kailashar road blockade on Wednesday.
As a result of the road blockade, many small and large vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road.
The police of Kailasahar police station rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident.
Later, administrative officials rushed to the spot. Finally, the road blockade was lifted with the assurance of the administrative officials.
