Many innocent villagers allegedly were injured even old women to men and young children were not spared as BSF took action against smuggling.
According to the villagers, the accused involved in this incident are BSF battalion no 200 on duty in the Indo-Bangla border area of Amjad Nagar under Bilonia Subdivision.
Innocent villagers of Amjad Nagar BSF camp area on the Bilonia border accused the BSF of violent action.
There is panic as well as fear due to the incident ahead of the polls. Question marks have been raisd about the responsibility of the border security forces In this incident aa four women and men are still under treatment at Bilonia Hospital.
According to the details of the incident, on Tuesday night some items including clothes were being smuggled to Bangladesh near gate number 5 adjacent to Amjad Nagar BSF camp.
When the BSF chased, the smugglers left the contraband at Salim Mia’s house adjacent to bordee and fled. Then the BSF launched a massive attack on the houses adjoining the fencing.
BSF also picked up the boys and girls and took them to the camp. Later, the family members including the Pradhan gave a white paper bond to the BSF and took Salim Mia to Bilonia Hospital for treatment and he is still under treatment in the hospital.
Salim Mia alleged that the BSF beat him severely. 60+ woman also is under treatment in the hospital.
While narrating the incident, many broke down in tears while describing the violence of the BSF.
One student said that she was dragged out of her sleep and beaten up. Such complaints were made by local residents and victims against the jawans of BSF 200 Battalion.
A case has been registered at Bilonia police station. They are demanding a fair investigation into the incident and a fair trial.
However, the locals say that there is constant smuggling through this area. It also said that the BSF has secret ties with the traffickers. Smugglers are constantly smuggling through different areas of Amjad Nagar in exchange for huge money.
“Suman Mia, father of Nuntu Mia, a resident of that area, smuggle through this place. Yesterday’s goods belonged to that Suman Mia. After knowing everything, the BSF did not detained Suman Mia and attacked the common people’s house in return for heavy bribes” alleged the locals.
“Such incidents are not new in Amjad Nagar. Such incidents have happened many times before. But we did not get justice for anything” they added.
