PM Modi to start ‘Vishwakarma Yojana’ Fom September and had announced to do so which has been approved by the cabinet on Wednesda.
PM Modi in his 10th Independence Day speech announced the launch of Vishwakarma Yojana for people with traditional skills from the month of September with an initial outlay of Rs 13,000-15,000 crore.
Let us tell you, while addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Prime Minister told that the government will launch ‘Vishwakarma Yojana’ with an allocation of Rs 13,000 to 15,000 crores next month for people with traditional skills.
Vishwakarma Yojana was announced in the budget 2023. Which aims to improve the quality, scale and accessibility of products and services of artisans and craftsmen and integrate them with the domestic and global value chain.
Due to which there will be economic empowerment of such workers, especially those belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Communities, women, transgender and other weaker sections of the society.
Through this scheme, people doing traditional work will be strengthened financially. Through this scheme, provision will be made for providing training, information about modern techniques, brand promotion, association with local and global markets, digital payments and social security.
The government has to provide a Vishwakarma institutional support in every corner of the country. This will make it easier to take loans, as well as help in the field of skills and techniques, digital empowerment, raw materials and marketing.
Significantly, after presenting the budget in 2023, PM Modi addressed a webinar on the topic ‘PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman’. In which he said that the webinar is dedicated to the skills and expertise of crores of Indians.
Through Skill India Mission and Skill Employment Center, it is to provide skills to crores of youth and create employment opportunities. Along with this, Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana or PM Vishwakarma Yojana was said to be the result of the same thinking.
Talking about the need for the scheme and the justification for the name ‘Vishwakarma’, the Prime Minister said that the Indian ethos has a rich tradition of Lord Vishwakarma’s high position and respect for those who work with their hands with tools
