Former Union Minister P. Chidambaram said, “The members of the Congress Working Committee applied that we should start Bharat Jodo Yatra-2.0, which would be from East to West. In fact, Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Kanyakumari on 7 September 2022 under the leadership of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said in the CWC meeting that the incidents of violence in Manipur, Nuh incident and communal tension in many states tarnish the image of India, in such a situation the ruling parties and communal organizations add fuel to the fire. These have to be exposed.
Kharge alleged that the central government is manipulating the data, due to not conducting the 2021 census, 14 crore people were left out of the Food Security Act and about 18 percent people were left out of MNREGA.
Kharge has further demanded that the process of Census 2021 should be started immediately, along with it caste census should also be conducted, so that the needy section of the society can get their rights.
Referring to the opposition alliance ‘INDIA’, he said that the success of the three meetings of the alliance can be gauged from the attacks of PM Modi and BJP leaders, as our caravan moves forward, their attacks will intensify.
