West Tripura District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar orders to start biometric attendance Immediately in all the schools of the district which erupted many questions.
Vishal Kumar the District Magistrate has asked to consider whether the salary can be paid according to the electronic attendance information of teaching and non-teaching staff.
The question has arisen that suddenly why the district magistrate issues such order for teaching and non teaching staffs without consulting the education department?
The question has been raised as to why the District Magistrate will order the attendance of non-teachers for the attendance of teachers in the schools of West district.
Notably Dr Kumar recently joined as DM West Tripura District. Earlier as DM of Sepahijala District Kumar issued such orders which raised controversy.
Now after joining as DM West Tripura he issues the order to launch biometric attendance in all the schools of the district by November 10.
Question also raising why DM should order for biometric attendance in schools? Where is the Education Department? Why DM issues such order which is the matter of Education Department?
There more than six hundred schools in West Tripura District
Is it possible to install biometric attendance machines in schools in such a short time?
The most important thing is, who will finance it or where it will come from, no mention of it.
Suddenly what is the purpose of Biometric Attendance only for West District schools ?
Is the DM think that teachers and non-teachers are evading work?
But why exclude offices in this case?
Actually it is a long pending issue to launch biometric attendance in all government offices.
But for various reason this plan is yet to implement. Even there is no biometric attendance in Education Department or even in State Civil SSecretariat.
In this situation such order issues only for schools erupted controversy.
