Tripura Unemployed ITI Pump Operator Cum Mechanic Pass Out Student Organization has raised allegations of widespread irregularities in publication of merit list of JRBT.
In a press conference at Agartala Press Club on Friday they said that:
“When the notification to complete the recruitment process was published through JRBT in 2021, there were 236 Junior Pump Operators. For the recruitment of 209 Junior Multi-Tasking Operators, LDC Secondary Equivalent Pass and Computer Typing experience were required. At that time, secondary equivalent pass and NCT/NCVT certificate as per trade are required for filling technical vacancies”
“But job seekers have to fill common form while filling online form. That is, there was no selection for submission of professional qualification and the syllabus for the examination was also common syllabus. But it has been seen that according to the LDC qualification, there are 15 questions on computer subject in the question paper. There is no question from Professional Qualification to ask for technical posts. It is not mentioned anywhere in the written test selection for 170 marks that computer related questions will be asked”
“In this case, the unemployed who expect technical jobs are 15 points behind LDC. Still, unemployed youth aspiring for technical jobs got pass marks in most cases. In the notification, the pass mark was 35 percent for general category youth, while the pass mark for other categories i.e. reserved category was 30 percent. JRBT authorities have not filled technical posts from their prescribed cut off marks. In that case, job aspirants said that it would be better to fill vacancies from pass mark recipients”
“Notification that they will be seen for interview in the ratio of 1:3 category wise. But the number of vacancies was 2410”.
“It would be better if the merit list is done separately according to the merit of the post.
Another important point is that out of 236 junior pump operators, 54 names have appeared in the final merit list. The remaining 33 are those who have Pump Operator cum Mechanic NCVT Certificate, while the rest have Cad Certificate. Those selected for Junior Operator Pumps. So they claim that out of 209 vacancies of Junior Multi Tasking Operator, 201 vacancies are vacant”
It would be better to select the post of Junior Multitasting Operator for the remaining vacant posts.
