Residents are suffering from shortage of drinking water for the last 5 days.
Finally, women of Chandraichra blocked the road in Ambasa railway station area under Dhalai district of Tripura in protest on Thursday morning. The traffic was stopped due to the blockade.
Allegedly, since the last five days there is no water in the area of Chandraichara.
As a result, the villagers are facing various problems on a daily basis. Although villagers have informed the government several times about this matter, but administration have not paid any attention .
Finally, they have blocked the road on Thursday morning.
After getting the information , high-ranking officials of the local administration rushed to the spot.
They held talks with the blockaders and assured that the problem would be resolved soon.
Based on that assurance, they withdrew the road blockade.
