Laboratory Technologist was appointed last time during the Left Front Govt. After that, not a single person was appointed in the last six years. A year ago, in August last year, the decision of the cabinet was announced and it was said that 361 laboratory technologists will be appointed.
But not even a single notification was issued in a year. Unemployed laboratory technologists went to the health director, Government of Tripura again on Saturday to ask for an answer.
The demand for permanent appointment has also been informed. This deputation and protest was called by Medical Laboratory Technologists Association on Saturday.
Speaking to the reporters later, the organization’s secretary Bikas Das said, “We are unable to meet the Chief Minister despite repeated attempts. He did not speak even though he sat at the Chief Minister’s house for many days from morning till noon. Not a single laboratory technologist has been recruited in the last six years. In August 2022, 361 recruitments have been announced. That too is just a declaration. No recruitment process has started. We have met the health officer three times ”
“We demand permanent appointment to the vacant posts as soon as possible” he said.
