India General Election 2024: 60.96% Voting Till 7 PM in Second Phase

Voting took place on 88 seats in 13 states on Friday under the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. Of these, last time BJP had won 52 and Congress had won 22. 

According to the data of Election Commisson available at 7 pm, total voting took place at 60.96 percent in the country.

The Election Commission released new figures of voting on 88 seats in 13 states under the second phase. According to this, till 7 pm a total of 60.96% voting took place. 

Last time 70.09 percent voting took place on these seats. This means that this time there has been about nine percent less voting in these 88 Lok Sabha seats. 

With the second phase of voting on Friday, the voting process has now ended in 14 states and union territories.

After the second phase of voting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is thankful to all those who voted across the country. "The unprecedented support NDA is getting disappoints the opposition. People want good governance of NDA. Youth and women voters are giving strong support to NDA" he said.
