Votes Are Being Forcibly Cast In Manipur For NDA In Front of Security Forces: Congress

Voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is being held on 26 April (Friday). Meanwhile, Congress has alleged that votes are being forcibly cast in favor of NDA in Manipur. 

"Democracy is in danger," Congress general secretary Jayaram claimed in a video posted on Twitter "Being forced"

Congress General Secretary Jayaram alleged, "The security forces are standing silently at the place where this video is taken, because our democracy has been hijacked. These are the most important elections of our lifetime." 

Earlier today, he had accused BJP National President JP Nadda of spreading false propaganda. In the second phase, voting is being held on 89 Lok Sabha seats in 13 states and Union Territories (UTs). During this time, voting is also take place in Manipur.

Voting is being held on Friday for 5 seats of Assam, the largest state in the North-East in terms of Lok Sabha seats - Karimganj, Silchar, Mangaldoi, Navgong. 

Whereas Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former party president Rahul Gandhi  appealed to the voters to use their vote right to save the Constitution and for inclusive development. 

In the second phase, apart from all 20 seats of Kerala, 14 out of 28 seats of Karnataka, 13 seats of Rajasthan, eight seats each of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, six seats of Madhya Pradesh, five seats each of Assam and Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Voting is being held on three seats each in West Bengal and one seat each in Manipur, Tripura and Jammu and Kashmir.
