10th Day: India Wins 27 Medals In The Paralympics 2024

Saturday was the 10th day of the Paris Paralympic Games. On this day 5 players from India could not win medals. 

Now the challenge remains in only 3 events of athletics. All three matches will start after 10:30 pm. India has won 27 medals in the Paralympic Games so far.

India is at number 17 in the medal tally. Indian players have won 6 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze medals so far. 

This is the country's all-time best performance in the Paralympics. Earlier, Indian players had won 19 medals including 5 gold in the Tokyo Paralympics.

Jyoti Gaderia could not complete the race in the women's C1-3 category road cycling event. She remained at number 15. Arshad Sheikh also could not complete the race in the men's road cycling event, he remained at number 28. India's Suyash Jadhav remained at number 5 in the men's 50 meter butterfly S7 category.

In the women's V2 category 200m women's para canoeing final, India's Prachi Yadav finished 8th. She completed the race in 1.08.55 minutes. Yash Kumar finished 5th in the men's KL1 category 200m canoe sprint semi-final. He could not make it to the final.


On Friday, India won the 27th medal in the Paris Games. Two medals came on this day, including one gold and one bronze. First, Praveen Kumar won the gold medal in the final of men's high jump T-64. 

He made an Asian record by jumping 2.08 meters. This is India's sixth gold in these Paralympic Games. Hokato Hotoze Sema won the bronze medal in the final of shot put F-57. 

He made a personal best throw of 14.65 meters. India's Soman Rana finished 5th in the same event. He scored 14.07.
