Lok Sabha Election Phase 7 Registered 59.5% Voter Turnout

The world's largest voting marathon, which started on the 19th of last month, comes to a grand end with the last phase of voting, in which voting has already taken place in 6 phases for 486 Lok Sabha seats. Lok Sabha election Phase 7 registered  59.5% voter turnout, said Election Commisson.

In the seventh i.e. last phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting held for a total of 57 Lok Sabha seats in seven states and one union territory. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

In this phase, voting  takes place in Bihar, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. With the voting in this phase, voting for all the phases of the elections which started on April 19 has been completed.

More than 10 crore voters from eight states will decide the fate of 904 candidates contesting the elections. 

The voting timings were from 7 am to 6 pm. However, the Election Commission has also said that the closing time of the polls may vary according to the parliamentary constituency.

in the seventh phase the fate of 904 candidates  sealed in EVMs. Out of 904, maximum 328 candidates are from Punjab, where elections  held on all 13 seats.

In second place, 144 candidates are contesting in 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Whereas, minimum 19 candidates are contesting on one seat in Chandigarh. 

In this phase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 2 Union Ministers RK Singh and Anurag Thakur are in the fray. 4 Actors- Kangana Ranaut, Ravi Kishan, Pawan Singh, Kajal Nishad are also contesting the elections.

Apart from these, Mamata's nephews Abhishek Banerjee, Afzal Ansari, Vikramaditya Singh are also trying their luck.

'India' alliance will participate in the exit poll debate

Pawan Khera, head of the media and publicity department of the Congress, announced that all the parties of the 'India' alliance will participate in the exit poll debate on television on Saturday evening. This decision was taken in the meeting of the 'India' alliance. Pawan Khera wrote on the social media site 'X', "The parties of the India alliance met and decided to expose the BJP and its ecosystem on the pre-decided exit poll. After considering the factors in favor and against participating in the exit poll, it has been unanimously decided that all the parties of the India alliance will participate in the exit poll debate on television this evening."

Media houses will start releasing exit polls after 6:30 pm on Saturday, June 1. Exit polls can be released only after the voting for an election is over. The Election Commission had banned exit polls between 7 am on April 19 and 6.30 pm on June 1.

The Election Commission has released the voting figures till 9 am. According to the commission, 11.31% voting has taken place till 9 am. So far, Himachal Pradesh is ahead and Odisha is at the bottom.
