In the test series being played between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Bangladesh created history by winning the second test match.
Bangladesh made a comeback after a disappointing start in the second test and defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets. After defeating Zimbabwe and West Indies, Bangladesh has won the fourth series in its career.After England, Bangladesh has become the second team to whitewash England in their home ground.
After winning the first match, not many people had any expectations from Bangladesh when they came to play the second test. In the first innings of the match, Bangladesh lost six wickets for 26 runs, after which they made a great comeback.After rain washed out the first day of the second Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh, batting first, bundled out Pakistan for 274, with Mehdi Hasan Miraz taking five wickets.
Bangladesh had a poor start to their innings after Khurram Shahzad and Mir Hamza's opening spells put the visitors in trouble, losing six wickets for 26 runs in the first 34 balls.
After this embarrassing situation of Bangladesh, Liton Das and Mehdi made a brilliant comeback and saved the match. Liton scored a century and later shared a century partnership with him, due to which Bangladesh was all out for 262 runs, 12 runs less Pakistan's score.In the second innings, pacers Nahid Rana and Hasan Mahmud took nine wickets together as Pakistan failed to make the most of the marginal lead and were bundled out for just 172.
But the experienced Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim led Bangladesh to victory to register a historic series win.After the six-wicket win in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh captain Nazmul Shanto expressed the joy of victory.
He said, I have no words for this. He said, 'It means a lot, I can't express it in words. I am really happy, we wanted to win here and I am very happy with the way everyone did their job, very impressive, the work ethic of our fast bowlers was excellent and that is why we got this result.
