5 Soldiers Killed, As Terrorists Attack Army Truck in J&K

Terrorists ambushed an army vehicle near Jenda Nala in Baranud area of ​​Badnota in Billawar sub-district of Kathua in J&K. Five soldiers were martyred in the terrorist attack while some others were badly injured. 

The injured soldiers were admitted to the sub-district hospital Billawar after first aid at PHC Badnota. 

According to the information received, this army vehicle was on patrol in the area and was targeted by the terrorists. The terrorists threw a grenade after which firing started. 

The army soldiers also took charge and started retaliatory action. Firing was going on from both sides till the last news was received. However, the martyrdom of the soldiers has not been officially confirmed.

According to the information received, at around 3:30 pm, the terrorists targeted the soldiers of 22 Garhwal Rifles and threw a grenade near the Zenda drain. It is being told that the terrorists were in the high altitude area. By the time the army soldiers could recover, the terrorists started firing indiscriminately. Taking advantage of the high altitude, the terrorists targeted the soldiers. 

After which the army soldiers started retaliatory action. The firing from both sides continued till late evening. 

On the other hand, the army has also included para commandos in the operation. They have been airlifted to the area of ​​attack. 

The entire area has been cordoned off by the army. On the other hand, the movement of vehicles has also been stopped beyond Machedi on the road from Billawar to Badnota. 

Heavy rain and fog had started in the area in the evening. The security forces surrounded the entire area and preparations have been made to eliminate the terrorists by conducting a big operation
