6700 Indian Students Returned From Bangladesh: Govt

In view of the violent clashes in Bangladesh, about 6700 Indian students have returned from there. 

In Bangladesh, violent clashes took place during the student demonstrations against the Sheikh Hasina-led government demanding the abolition of the controversial job quota system, in which more than 100 people have died.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, so far 6,700 Indian students have returned from Bangladesh. 

He said, being a close neighbor and friend of Bangladesh, we hope the situation in that country becomes normal
