Accident or Planned? Death of Iranian President in Helicopter Crash Confirmed. PM Modi Expressed Grief

The news of death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Foreign Minister in a helicopter accident has been confirmed. 

Ibrahim Raisi's helicopter crashed while crossing a mountainous area in dense fog. Reuters reported quoting an Iranian official. 

ANI has also tweeted on X regarding the news related to the death of Ibrahim Raisi. 

Iran's Press TV has also confirmed the death of Ibrahim Raisi. Press TV tweeted and wrote. 'President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, Friday prayer imam of East Azerbaijan Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem and several other passengers have been martyred in a helicopter crash.' The accident happened here in the northwest of Iran. 

According to Reuters, this accident happened near Tabriz. The Iranian President was returning from Azerbaijan to Iran's capital Tehran by helicopter. 

During this time the helicopter became a victim of an accident. The weather of the area was very bad at the time of the accident. The personnel engaged in the rescue operation also had to face a lot of problems due to mist and fog. 

It is believed that due to bad weather it took a lot of time to locate the helicopter. Many video footages of the rescue operation have surfaced, in which it can be clearly seen that many places are filled with water and there is dense fog.  


According to media reports, there are high hills at the place where the helicopter crashed. The helicopter is almost completely destroyed in the accident, only the rear part of the aircraft is visible in blue and white color. 

Some people on X are questioning whether this accident happened or was planned? 

At present, the only information that has been received is that all 9 people aboard the helicopter have died. 


Meanwhile Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of Iranian President. 

Posting on X, PM Modi wrote, 'I am deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic demise of Iran's President Dr. Syed Ibrahim Raisi. His contribution in st strengthening India-Iran bilateral relations will always be remembered. My condolences to his family and the people of Iran. India stands with Iran in this hour of Grief".
