On Thursday, Purnendu Bikash Dutta, an engineer of Tripura Health Department, was going to his house in Sabroom in South Tripura.

There is an electricity pole right in front of his house. A high tension wire was hanging from that pole. He got a severe electric shock after coming in contact with the live wire.

Action will be taken against the private service provider but till we have an alternative to them, we have to ensure that the services are not disrupted. However, we have received many complaints."

"We have ordered an inquiry by an electrical inspector. The findings of the inquiry will reveal the names of those who were responsible for the incident," he said.
