Agartala: CM Manik Saha Laid Foundation of Several Projects Under AMRUT Scheme

Under AMRUT scheme, beautification of various ponds of Agartala city has been undertaken. As a part of it, beautification and development initiatives of Central Road Shiv Bari Pond, Lake of Veterinary Hospital and Ujan Abhaynagar market pond has been taken. The foundation stone for the beautification and development of these three ponds was laid in a program on Monday.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation  through a ceremony in Shiv Bari area. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that 

"under the Amrut 2.0 scheme, initiatives have been taken to beautify and develop Central Road Shiv Bari Pond, Lake of Veterinary Hospital and Ujan Abhaynagar market pond. The central government gives 90 percent of the amount of money spent for the development work done in this project. The state government has to pay 10 percent. 90 percent of the work of the Smart City project is also provided by the central government. Rs 500 crores have been provided for the smart city project. Many things have been developed through the Smart City project. But there is no Smart City Project 2.0".

"Therefore, a demand will be made to the central government to launch the smart city project 2.0 like the Amrut Scheme." 

MoU has been signed with SHIJA Hospital in Manipur. A team of 12 doctors arrived in the state from SHIJA Hospital on Sunday.

For the first time, a kidney transplant was done at GBP Hospital on Monday. The team of doctors who have come to the state for kidney transplant will be paid Rs 1.5 Lakh. Besides, their accommodation has been arranged. No expenditure of kidney donor and recipient. Doctors from the state have visited SHIJA Hospital and brought training. Signed a 5-year MoU with SHIJA Hospital. Doctors in the state will also be licensed to perform kidney transplants once they learn kidney transplants and gain three years of experience.

The opposition is continuing to spread misinformation about the proposed Santiniketan Medical College. Santiniketan Medical College purchased the premises with their own money. Building infrastructure. They also have man power. The state government has given contract basis for two years only to IGM Hospitals to teach their college students. The state government  allowed Santiniketan Medical College to use IGM Hospital after all inquiries.


Opposition is only opposing to do politics. When ever the development work was done, the opposition started spreading propaganda
