Agartala: Drugs, Arms Worth Rs Crore Recovered From Matinagar. One Arrested

In a joint operation of Police and BSF drugs and weapons worth crores of rupees has been recovered from the Matinagar under West Tripura District.

A notorious drug dealer identified as Sundar Ali has also been arrested in this raid.

Police said that 'a joint team of Rayermura BOP of BSF No. 42 Battalion and Amtali Police Station conducted a raid in the area adjacent to Matinagar School on Thursday morning.' 

'The raid recovered 59200 Yaba tablets, 50 bottles of PHENSEDYL , Bangladeshi currency Tk 23550, a sophisticated pistol with magazine and fresh bullets from notorious drug dealer Sundar Ali' police said.

"The recovered drugs and goods are more than crores of rupees" said police.

"We will collect all the information after taking him on remand" said police.
