Apollo Tyres has been finalised as the new jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team, a senior BCCI official confirmed on Tuesday. The move comes after online gaming platform Dream11 exited the sponsorship space following a government ban on real money gaming.
For the ongoing Asia Cup in Dubai, the Indian team has been playing without a shirt sponsor. But that is set to change, as Apollo Tyres has signed a three-year agreement with the BCCI valued at ₹579 crore — a significant jump from Dream11’s ₹358 crore deal for the same duration.
The contract will cover 121 bilateral matches and 21 ICC fixtures. “The deal has been signed with Apollo Tyres. We will announce it soon,” a senior BCCI official told PTI.
Dream11 was forced to shut down its real money games after the enactment of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which prohibits offering or advertising online money gaming services.
Earlier this month, the BCCI had floated an Expression of Interest for lead sponsor rights, clarifying that companies from sectors such as real money gaming, cryptocurrency, tobacco, and alcohol would not be eligible.
Headquartered in Gurugram, Apollo Tyres is a global tyre manufacturer with plants across India and Europe. The company now takes up one of the most visible brand associations in Indian sport.
