Assam: 80 Lakh Voters, 47 Candidates in 3rd Phase of LS Polls on Tuesday

The third phase of voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be held tomorrow i.e on May 7.  Let us tell you that voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm on May 7. Let us tell you that during this period voting will be held for a total of 94 seats. 

In this phase, voting will be held in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Assam etc. 

In the third phase in Assam, voting will be completed for all 14 seats in the state with the voting for four seats - Dhubri, Barpeta, Kokrajhar (ST) and Guwahati constituencies. 

In Assam, Barpeta seat has the maximum number of 14 candidates, while Guwahati seat has the least number of eight candidates. In Guwahati, there is a direct contest between BJP's Bijuli Kalita Medhi and Congress candidate Meira Borthakur Goswami, both contesting the Lok Sabha elections for the first time. 

There will be a contest on the Barpeta seat between NDA's ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Phanibhushan Chaudhary, CPI(M)'s Manoranjan Talukdar and Congress's Deep Bayan. 

There is a triangular contest on the Dhubri seat between AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal, Congress MLA Rakibul Hussain and NDA ally AGP's Javed Islam. 

Kokrajhar (ST) is expected to see a triangular contest between Jayant Basumatary of NDA ally United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), Garjan Musahari of Congress and Kampa Borgoyri of Bodoland People's Front (BPF).
