Assam Changed Schools Timing Due to Heatwave

Temperature is raising in Assam. Due to the ongoing heatwave, the district commissioner (DC) of Kamrup-Metro district has announced revised school schedule for the safety of students.

All government and private schools in Kamrup-Metro district, including Guwahati, will operate as per the new schedule from From Monday May 27.

In addition to the changed timings, the order also mentioned schools must implement precautions like Meetings should be held indoor.
schools must ensure that electric fans are operational at all times, students are advised to ditch blazers, waistcoats and ties, can also wear sandal.

Schools must inform parents about heatwave precautions through messages or phone calls.

New school timings:

LP School : 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM

ME School: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

HS and HSS Schools: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm
