Bangladesh has rung alarm bells for India and South Africa by creating history by defeating Pakistan in its own home.

Bangladesh has won the first match of the two-Test series in Rawalpindi by 10 wickets. This is Bangladesh's first win against Pakistan in the history of Test cricket. Before this match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, a total of 13 Tests were played in which Bangladesh was successful in drawing one match, while it had to face defeat in the remaining matches.  But Bangladesh created history in Rawalpindi.

The hero of Bangladesh's victory was Mushfiqur Rahim, who not only put Pakistan on the backfoot by scoring 191 runs in the first innings but also ensured that Pakistan did not win this match. By the end of the fourth day's play, there were only two results of the match, in which either this match would be a draw or Pakistan would lose.

However, in the first session of the fifth day, the Pakistani batsmen had no answer to the balls of Shakib and Miraz. In the second session, Bangladesh performed brilliantly and bundled out Pakistan for only 146 runs in the second innings. After this, Bangladesh had to score only 30 runs to win and they achieved it easily.

The first bilateral series between Bangladesh and Pakistan was held in 2001-2002, when Pakistan toured Bangladesh. Since then, Bangladesh has never been able to win against Pakistan.
