BCCI Lays Foundation Stone For Training Facilities in North-East Region

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah on Monday laid the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art indoor training center in the North East.

It will include world-class indoor nets, indoor swimming pools and fitness centers for year-round training options and will benefit cricketers from six states including Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah wrote on 'X', "Honoured to lay the foundation stone of BCCI's state-of-the-art indoor training facilities in the North East.

“Our cricketers from six states (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim) will soon benefit from world-class indoor nets, indoor swimming pool and fitness center for year-round training facility.”

He further said, this with the launch of the new pavilion in Mizoram, is a big step towards our vision of enhancing the cricket infrastructure in the region.

Earlier, BCCI had announced to release Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction and annual maintenance of indoor cricket training facility in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland Sikkim in December 2022.

BCCI had said in a release, "BCCI invites bids from reputed institutions through tender process for construction of indoor cricket training facility in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim."

Any party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the RFP. However, only those bidders meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed in the RFP and subject to other terms and conditions prescribed therein will be eligible. It is clarified that mere purchase of RFP does not entitle anyone to bid.
