BCCI To Issue Guidelines On IPL Victory Celebrations. Meeting on June 14

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is soon going to bring a guideline on victory celebrations in IPL. On June 4, 11 people died in RCB's IPL victory celebration in Bangalore, due to which there is now pressure on BCCI to make a guideline.

On the other hand, RCB's marketing and revenue head Nikhil Sosale was granted bail by the Karnataka High Court. However, he will have to submit his passport to the police. Sosale was arrested by the Central Crime Branch from the airport on June 6.

BCCI is going to hold an Apex Council meeting on June 14 to guideline the victory celebrations of IPL teams. India's domestic series will also be discussed in this online meeting.

According to a Cricbuzz report, BCCI is going to consider new ways of trophy celebrations. So that stampede-like accidents do not happen and the game spirit is also maintained. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia had also said that the board will issue official guidelines for all the teams.

The matches of the 2026 New Zealand series will also be decided in the BCCI meeting. The Kiwi team will also play a series of 3 ODIs and 5 T20s in India before the T20 World Cup next year. The ICC tournament to be hosted by Sri Lanka and India will be played in February and March next year.

Like last year, in 2025 also the domestic season will start with the Duleep Trophy in September. This time also the Duleep Trophy tournament will be inter-zonal.

RCB marketing head Nikhil Sosale was arrested in the Bangalore stampede case. After which he filed his bail plea, which has been accepted by the court. However, he was asked to surrender his passport.

Along with Sosale, DNA Entertainment's senior event manager Kiran Kumar and vice president Sunil Mathew were also arrested on June 6. They too got bail. Sosale's lawyer had objected to the manner of arrest in the Karnataka High Court. After hearing the arguments, the court granted bail to the three employees on Thursday (June 12).

On June 3, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs in the IPL final. The team won the title for the first time in 18 seasons, and celebrated the victory the very next day at the home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

When all the members of the RCB team were meeting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Assembly, a stampede broke out outside the stadium. In which 11 people died, while more than 33 people were injured. After the accident, the Karnataka High Court started an investigation into the case. The investigation is ongoing.
