Big Beautiful Bill Passed By US Parliament Amid Musk-Trump Clash

President Donald Trump's Big Beautiful bill to cut taxes and expenditure was passed by the lower house of the US Parliament (House of Representatives) on Thursday.

218 people voted in support of the bill while 214 voted against it.

Two MPs from Trump's own party, Thomas Massie and Brian Fitzpatrick, voted against this bill. Trump and Elon Musk made sharp statements against each other regarding this bill.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said that Trump will sign this bill at 5 pm on Friday in a big and grand ceremony on America's Independence Day (July 4).

This bill was passed in the upper house of the US Parliament, the Senate, by a narrow margin of 50-51 just two days ago. Vice President JD Vance had cast the deciding vote on this bill.

Elon Musk once again criticized Trump's Big Beautiful Bill on Saturday.

Musk wrote on X on Saturday - 'This bill of Trump will eliminate millions of jobs in America and will cause a huge strategic loss to our country.'

Musk said, 'This is completely crazy and destructive. This law gives relief to old industries, but will destroy the industries of the future.' Musk resigned from the post of head of the Department of Government Efficiency in the Trump administration last month over this bill.

After this tweet by Musk, Trump had said that if the subsidy being given to Musk is stopped, then he will have to close his shop (company) and return to South Africa.

Trump said that with the subsidy being stopped, neither Tesla will be able to produce electric cars nor SpaceX's rockets and satellites will be launched.

Trump claimed that Musk has received more money in the form of government subsidy than anyone else. He suggested that DoGE should investigate the matter in detail. This will save the country's money.

The US President said- Musk knew long before he supported me for the presidency that I was against the EV mandate. Electric vehicles are good, but forcing everyone to buy them is wrong.

The debate between Trump and Musk over the Big Beautiful Bill started on June 5 when Trump expressed his displeasure with Musk while speaking to the media.

Trump had said that when we talked about cutting the law of compulsory purchase of electric vehicles, Musk started having problems. I am very disappointed with Elon. I have helped him a lot.

After this, Musk posted several tweets on his social media platform X calling Trump ungrateful. Musk said that if he was not there, Trump would have lost the election. He even talked about impeaching Trump.

After this, Trump targeted Musk on his social media platform Truth Social. He wrote- Musk went mad when I withdrew his EV mandate. Trump had threatened to end the subsidy given to Musk's company.
