BJP Not Learned Any Lesson From The Results of The LS Elections: Tripura CPIM

The CPIM West Tripura District Committee stages protest  against the Union Budget. CPIM workers and supporters organized a protest march from  Bhanu Ghosh Smriti Bhavan in Agartala on Saturday afternoon. Opposition Leader Jitendra Choudhury , CPIM West Tripura District Committee Secretary Ratan Das, former Minister Manik Dey, former Parliamentarian Shankar Prasad Dutta and others were present in the rally.

CPIM West Tripura District Committee Secretary Ratan Das strongly criticized the government. He said that the budget presented by the central government recently is a budget to make the corporates of the country more wealthy. Unemployment in the country will increase in this budget. Prices of goods will increase. The poor will become poorer.

"This budget does not mention anything for the common man. The central government presented this budget only to increase the profits of the rich class. Therefore, protest staged against this anti-people budget, he said.

A meeting was organized after the rally. In this meeting, the main speaker, the leader of the opposition party, Jitendra Choudhury attacked the Narendra Modi-led government for the central budget. He said that after the Lok Sabha elections, the people thought that the BJP-led government would return to form a government in a shameful manner. Because they had to form a coalition government. But sense yet to return to this government. This government is run by RSS. Who cares about the comfort and development of the people of the country. So BJP has not learned from the results of Lok Sabha elections.

"They are talking about development . But development will happen only when not only Adani Ambani but 1.4 billion people of the country develop equally" Choudhury said. The opposition leader also said that before forming the government in 2014, Narendra Modi had told people that he would implement the Swaminathan Commission for the farmers of the country. But it has been seen that the Swaminathan Commission has not been implemented by the government even in the last 10 years. As a result, it is an anti-farmer budget as the demands of the farmers are not met.

"On the other hand, in the previous budget of the country, Rs one lakh crore was allocated for the wages of REGA. But this time it was seen that it has been reduced to Rs 86 thousand crores" he said.

"In addition, the arrears of wages for the previous financial year remains. Then the big question is how much money from this budget will reach the workers from this Rs 86 thousand crore. The main reason behind the increase in railway accidents is that the Ministry of Railways has the biggest shortage of staff. The government is not taking any initiative to recruit in the Ministry of Railways" Jitendra said.

He criticized the Narendra Modi government and said that there was a separate budget for railways before 2014. Which is currently closed in the country. Due to which no reforms are being made to provide proper services
