BJP Should Learn Lesson From The Recent Polls Results: Manik Sarkar

CPIM Polit Bureau member and former Chief Minister of Tripura attended a remembrance meeting of Ramendra (Chandan) Dasgupta at the CITU office on Wednesday.

Speaking in the meeting Sarkar said that:

Once we sit in yhe power, we are the last, we will stay there for ever- this is not the case. This has been proven in the last 40 days. BJP has suffered two big shocks in the country in just 40 days. One of these is the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is not that the BJP has been defeated in this election, but they could not come to power alone.

The other is that in 40 days the by-election results of 13 constituencies shows that BJP won only two constituencies.

Remaining ten seats were won by INDIA Bloc and one seat by independent party. The seat won by an independent candidate also defeated a Bharatiya Janata Party rival. BJP should learn from this. Can't turn the stick like before. Because BJP is run by RSS. RSS expressed concern over such results.

Taking a lesson from this, the RSS tried to convince Modi by criticizing anti-people activities.

The fight must continue. Different programs including agitation, deputation should be undertaken by uniting people against anti-people activities even on a small scale.

An atmosphere of mistrust has also been created within the BJP party. There is a clash among themselves while giving nominations for the upcoming panchayat elections. Because panchayat election is the most looted place. There is no calculation here. Panchayat is the center of income generation. So BJP does not want to vote to take over panchayats. If there is voting, people's anger will be expressed. So the fight must continue
