Brand Modi Not Shines in Lok Sabha Election 2024: International Media

In the latest Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aura of being invincible has weakened and the opposition has got new strength.

This is the opinion of the international media about the election results in India.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the ruling BJP at the Centre has got 240 seats, which is the lowest in the three Lok Sabha elections held under Modi's leadership.

While the main opposition party Congress has got 99 seats, which is the highest in three elections.

On this basis, the international media has expressed this opinion. The American newspaper New York Times has written about Modi's aura weakening. This is a sudden change in the ten years of Modi's rule. Modi's party has won the 2024 elections but is far from a record-breaking victory. While the Washington Post has written - Indian voters have rejected Modi.

The election result is a setback for Hindu nationalists. The American newspaper Wall Street Journal has written that Modi has won the election but he has also suffered a setback. It should be noted that these three major American newspapers had taken a critical stance towards Prime Minister Modi even during the election campaign.

Devesh Kapoor, a native of Kanpur but currently a professor of political science at John Hopkins University School in America, has given a statement in The Post - Democracy is not dead in India, this has been confirmed by this election. The election has proved that the Indian voter takes decisions with independent thinking, nothing can confuse him.

According to American news channel CNN, the election results have surprised many leaders. Workers of many parties have also got unexpected happiness.

According to British media giant BBC, the election results have proved that the shine of Brand Modi has diminished. Certainly, BJP has had to face the anti-incumbency sentiment of the voters. This result has created new possibilities for the opposition.

While Time magazine has written that the election result of India is definitely a shock for Modi and BJP. Modi will now have to face a more powerful opposition. CBC News has said that the election result has given new breath to Congress for the future.
