China Is Ready To Talk To India On Border Dispute

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed its willingness to hold talks with India on delimitation of the border. China said that the border dispute with India is complex and will take time to resolve.
China's Foreign Ministry said- China and India have developed a system of special representative talks for the border dispute. Diplomatic and military communication systems exist between the two countries at different levels.
The ministry further said that China is ready to maintain dialogue with India on issues such as border demarcation and maintain peace and stability in border areas. We want to promote cross-border cooperation.
There was tension on the border for a long time between India and China after the Galwan clash of 2020. During this time the soldiers of both the countries came face to face with each other.
China said- hope India will continue to work together
China Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning was asked that 23 rounds of special representative talks have taken place between the two countries, but the border dispute still persists.
On this, Mao Ning said- The border dispute is complicated and it will take time to resolve it. The good thing is that both countries have developed many systems for dialogue. We hope that India will also work together with China and maintain peace in the border areas.
India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held the 23rd round of Special Representative talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during his visit to Beijing in December last year. In this meeting, the implementation of the October 2024 agreement was confirmed, under which patrolling and grazing in the border area was allowed.
Rajnath Singh recently visited China
India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently met Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Qingdao on June 26. During this, Rajnath Singh suggested that India and China should resolve the complex border issues under a systematic roadmap.
In this, there was talk about reducing tension on the border and taking forward the existing system of border demarcation. The main focus of this dialogue was on maintaining peace and stability on the LAC.
Rajnath also raised the issue of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism
Rajnath Singh stressed the need to build good neighbourly relations between the two countries and work together for stability in Asia. He also praised the resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Along with this, he also informed the Chinese Defence Minister about the recent terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir and India's action in Pakistan. Rajnath Singh said that Operation Sindoor is India's stand on the issue of terrorism.
Earlier on Thursday, a meeting of the defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held. Both India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif participated in it. However, Rajnath Singh did not meet the Pakistani Defense Minister.
20 Indian soldiers were martyred in the clash in Galwan on 15 June 2020
On 15 June 2020, China had gathered troops in the border areas of Eastern Ladakh on the pretext of exercise. After this, there were incidents of infiltration at many places.
The Indian government had also deployed an equal number of troops as China in this area. The situation became so bad that bullets were fired on the LAC.
Meanwhile, on June 15, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in a clash with the Chinese army in the Galwan Valley. Later, India also gave a befitting reply to this. About 60 Chinese soldiers were killed in this.
