CM Dr Manik Saha Participated In 'Swachhata Hi Seva' program On 2nd October

"Everyone should come forward to keep the state of Tripura clean. Apart from this, plastic free Tripura should be developed in environmental protection. For this reason, people should be more aware and social movements should be developed."

This was said by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha while participating in the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' program at Ujjwayant Palace premises in Agartala on Wednesday. 

Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said that "such programs are always organized on the occasion of Bharatiya Janata Party's Seva Pakshakal. This program was started on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on September 17. The program is organized around three famous personalities. Among them, Prime Minister's birthday is on17th September, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's birthday is on 25th September, and Mahatma Gandhi's birthday is 2nd October. Various social activities including Blood Donation Camp, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Clothing Donation were done on this occasion. Today is the last day of Seva Pakshakal program."

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha extended warm greetings and congratulations to the people of the state and countrymen on the occasion of Seva Pakshkal and Mahalaya.                         

The Chief Minister said, "Mahalaya has a very beautiful feeling in the morning. I have been waiting for Mahalaya since childhood. Mother is about to arrive. Now people of all section are eager for Durga Puja. This is a big episode for all of us."

He extended warm wishes and congratulations to all personally and on behalf of the government on the occasion of Mahalaya and the upcoming Durga Puja. Have a nice Puja day everyone. 

On this day, Dr. Saha said, "the way we have come forward in the cleanliness campaign, everyone should maintain cleanliness from their hearts and minds. We are working to make Tripura a plastic free state. As Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made many promises for the welfare of people, he is also slowly implementing them. Because everything cannot be achieved in one day. This requires everyone's cooperation. Also we must avoid using single-use plastic. Work is underway in this direction. We are working to keep the state and city clean. Agartala Pur Nigam has been awarded twice at national level. Besides this we are working to solve the basic problems of the people."

On this day, the Chief Minister also said that the membership campaign of Bharatiya Janata Party is continuing. This time our target is to fill 12 lakh membership posts. The target taken for membership will also be met. The number of members in 2019 was 6 lakh 50 thousand. .
