CM Dr Manik Saha Reviews The Flood Situation in Tripura

Returning to the state from Delhi , Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha held a review meeting on the flood situation in Tripura on Tuesday night. 

He returned to the state from Delhi on this day. After that, he held a meeting with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Revenue Department Secretary, PWD and DWS officials and other officials.

It should be noted that various areas of the entire state have been flooded due to heavy rains. 

Different areas of Agartala city are affected by floods. At least 7000 people have taken Shalter in refugee camps. 

7 people have been died due to landslide and drowning in flood water till Monday in various palaces of Tripura.

landslides have occurred in many areas due to heavy and very heavy rainfall. Many places have fallen trees blocking roads. Rescue operations have been carried out swiftly. 

More than 200 teams of SDRF (TSR), NDRF, Civil Defense Volunteers, Apda Mitra Volunteers, Fire and Emergency Services, Forest, TSECL, PWD (WR), PWD (R&B), Agriculture and other line departments have been deployed to deal with natural calamities and is carrying out relief and rescue operations according to the local needs and flood situation.

District and sub-divisional administrations are providing essential facilities including food, drinking water, medical treatment in these relief camps. The overall situation has been closely monitored by the respective District Magistrates at the district level and the Secretary and Chief Secretary at the state level. 

All BDOs, water resources, power, works department, forest, police, fire service personnel and paramilitary forces are working round-the-clock to mitigate the effects of the flood and provide relief and rescue to the affected families
