CM Manik Saha Congratulates Rajdeep Roy, The New BJP In-Charge of Tripura

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Silchar Lok Sabha constituency Rajdeep Roy has been appointed in-charge of the party's Tripura unit, officials said.

This incident has come to light just before the Panchayat elections to be held on August 8.

Roy will replace Mahesh Sharma, a party release said.

Roy was congratulated by Chief Minister Manik Saha, BJP's Tripura unit president Rajeev Bhattacharya and former Union minister Pratima Bhowmik.

Saha said in a post on social media platform Facebook, 'Congratulations and best wishes to Rajdeep Roy on being appointed in-charge of the party's state unit.'

Bhattacharya said in his message, "BJP National President JP Nadda has appointed party in-charges for various states. Congratulations to former Silchar MP Rajdeep Roy on being appointed as the party in-charge of Tripura.
