CM Manik Saha Inaugurated Weeklong Traditional Kharchi Festival

Traditional festival of Trioura Kharchi Puja begins on Sunday. Kharchi Puja has started following traditional customs. 

As the beginning day was holiday huge crowd of devotees seen at Fourteen Goddesses Temple, Old Agartala. 

Inaugurating the Kharchi festival, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said that the fourteenth deity temple of old Agartala has become a meeting place of harmony, brotherhood and tradition with the gathering of thousands of visitors during this week-long traditional festival.

On this day, the Chief Minister said that Kharchi Puja is one of the main festivals of Tripura. This week-long traditional festival organized in a fusion of spiritual and cultural spirit.

The culture and traditions of Tripura are so rich that this small hill state is not less than other provinces. He does not know if such a culture exists in any other state. 

He also added that we have to give this tradition to our next generation and Tripura government is doing work to that direction
