BJP had targeted Congress on Sam Pitroda's statement and said that Congress wants to snatch people's personal property. There was so much uproar over Pitroda's statement that the Congress party had to come to the rescue.

The Congress immediately distanced itself from Pitroda's remarks, terming them "unacceptable".
