Conspiracy Was There To Remove Sheikh Hasina From Power, Admits Yunus

Bangladesh's Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus has admitted that a conspiracy was hatched to remove Sheikh Hasina from power.

Addressing the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in America, Yunus praised the student leaders of Bangladesh.

He said that they are creating a new form of Bangladesh.

Addressing the meeting, Yunus said, "This protest was a very well planned movement in which no one person was made the leader and arrested. Due to this, the youth of the whole country got inspired and this movement became even more powerful."

After this, Yunus introduced his assistant Mahfuz Alam in the meeting and said that both of us were responsible for this.

According to Dhaka Tribune, the Chief Advisor said that if you look at the faces of these student leaders, they will look like ordinary youth. But when they start speaking, you will tremble. They shook the whole country with their speeches and their dedication.

Yunus said, "Mahfooz was the brain behind the entire movement. Although he keeps denying this, but this is how he got recognition. This movement did not start suddenly. It was designed with complete caution. The leadership of the movement was also prepared under this. No one knows who this leader was."

After this, Yunus applauded all the student leaders and wished them all the best for the future. According to the report, the Chief Advisor also mentioned the attacks on student leaders during Sheikh Hasina's government.

He said that these leaders stood bravely despite the firing. Former US President Bill Clinton was present next to Yunus during his speech.

After the violence in Bangladesh, former PM Sheikh Hasina came to India on August 5. She resigned from her post. On August 22, the interim government also canceled the diplomatic passports of Hasina and her family members.

After this, an interim government was formed in Bangladesh on August 8. Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus was made the chief advisor of this government.

Noor Jahan Begum, head of the Health Ministry in the interim government of Bangladesh, said on August 29 that more than 1 thousand people were killed in the anti-government protests.

At the same time, more than 400 people lost their eyesight. Many have lost the sight of one eye and many have lost the sight of both eyes. Anti-government protests started in Bangladesh on 16 July 2024.

This was the largest anti-government protest in the country since 1971
