Corruption: Tripura Minister Bikash Debbarma Challenged Opposition MLA Sudip Roy Burman

Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarbma  tried to refute the allegations of corruption leveled by MLA Sudip Roy Burman in the Legislative Assembly. He claimed that MLA  Burman gave wrong information in the assembly. So he set a deadline of 48 hours for MLA Sudip Roy Burman to apologize. Otherwise he warned that he would file a defamation case against  Roy Burman.

Not only that, but if the allegations are proven true, he will retire from politics. But, if the truth is not proved, MLA Sudip Roy Burman will have to take political asceticism, he challenged.

MLA Sudip Roy Burman counterattacked on that challenge. Bikash Debbarma is now threatening to save the ministerial post. I am ready to welcome him in the court, challenged Sudip.

In a press conference on Saturday Minister Bikash Debbarma tried to categorically refute all the allegations made by MLA Sudip Roy Burman in the Assembly. Not only that, he also cried. He claims that he was engaged in contraction work for about 25 years before joining politics. Besides, he owns huge property. Moreover, all members of his family are engaged in government service.

On this day, he said that he had two houses in Agartala before taking the post of minister. He claimed that his father and grandfather owned huge properties. They owned about 200 acres of land. He also claimed to own twice as much property as the information given by MLA Sudip Burman.

On this day he also said that there is no petrol pump in the name of his son and wife in Teliamura and Khowai Behalabari. MLA Burman gave wrong information in the assembly. Besides, the Congress MLA insulted Kokborok which is his mother tongue.

He lamented that Mr. Burman is trying to ruin his political life. His crime is that he is the son of Janjati family.

Because, according to  Burman's fundamental idea, Janjatis can never be traders. According to him, the Congress never wanted the development of the people. So people of Tripura bid farewell to Congress forever.

On this day, he set a deadline of 48 hours for MLA  Roy Barman to apologize. Otherwise he warned that he would file a defamation case against Sudip Roy Burman. Not only that, but if the allegations are proven true, he will retire from politics. But, if the truth is not proved, he challenged MLA Sudip Roy Burman to take political asceticism.

Meanwhile MLA Sudip Roy Burman hit back and said, "There is no question of recovery from my comments." Bikash Debbarma is making such threats to save his ministerial post. He does not have the power to deny information regarding subject property given to the Assembly. Sudeep's sarcasm, it is not possible to own a property worth crores of rupees by working as a contractor. Because, many more are involved in contractor work in the state. Anyway, I am ready to welcome him in the court
