Dirty Conspiracy Aagainst Assam Woman After Rumor Related To US Adult Industry

A sensational case has come to light from Assam's Tinsukia district, where a man has been arrested for posting morphed and AI-generated pornographic photos and videos of a woman on social media. 

Police said that the accused misused the woman's old photos to convert them into pornographic content and spread it online.

Senior Superintendent of Police (in-charge) of Dibrugarh, Sijal Agarwal said that on Saturday the victim had lodged a complaint that her edited pictures and videos were being circulated on social media, which was defaming her. The victim recently came into the news when one of her pictures with an adult film actor went viral and it was claimed that she had joined the adult film industry in America.

During the investigation, the police got a link to an Instagram page, which helped identify the accused. The accused was arrested from Tinsukia on Saturday night after tracing his mobile number.

the accused is a mechanical engineer and knew the victim from before. He initially did this to harass the woman for personal reasons, but later he started earning money from this content. 

He used to upload these obscene videos and pictures on a subscription-based website, where people had to pay money to view the content. Police say that the accused earned about Rs 10 lakh  from this.

At present, the police have seized several digital evidences including laptop, mobile, hard disk from the accused. The help of several agencies including cyber experts is being taken in the investigation of the case.

The police have appealed to the people to check the authenticity of any content before sharing it on social media and not to spread information received from unknown sources without confirmation.
